Se trata de un edificio ortodoxamente lineal que se dispone según una facha da principal orientada adecuadamente frente a un cerramiento trasero que se protege de la afección de las cercanas vías de tren. El bloque sirve de borde del conjunto urbano y está en directa relación con otros tres edificios que juntos constituyen el límite del barrio. La ligera orientación sureste de la fachada prin cipal sigue el esquema del resto de bloques, cuya disposición permite crear una barrera visual para el peatón que transita en los cuidados espacios públicos ex teriores del barrio. En la configuración del bloque, el orden constructivo se traduce en organización tipológica y finalmente en sistema compositivo de las fachadas. De este modo, el edificio se convierte en experimento de construcción seriada con guiños a la in dustrialización como se observa en los detalles de barandillas a partir de paneles Eternit. Mientras que la fachada trasera se resuelve de un modo más conven cional para reducir la relación con las vías de tren; la principal se convierte en un extraordinario ejemplo de lenguaje abstracto adaptado a la formalización de viviendas vinculadas con el exterior. Se crea una gran matriz constructiva en el plano de cerramiento a partir de igualar los espesores de muros medianeros en tre viviendas y los cantos de forjado. Esta retícula crea un tablero de terrazas, de idéntica dimensión que los frentes de la vivienda, maximizando la iluminación, a partir del apilamiento de unidades. Este sistema de repetición isótropa queda inteligentemente alterado mediante un manido recurso: la disposición al tresbo lillo de unos filtros parciales de las terrazas mediante lamas verticales. El efecto que produce esta variación en la seriación entre las diferentes viviendas en altura y en relación con el edificio en su conjunto permiten desarrollar una propuesta proyectual puramente moderna. It is an orthodoxly linear building arranged according to a main façade oriented appropriately in front of a rear enclosure protected from the im pact of the nearby railway tracks. The block serves as the edge of the urban ensemble and is directly related to three other buildings that form the nei ghbourhood's boundary. The slight southeast orientation of the main façade follows the pattern of the other blocks, the arrangement of which creates a visual barrier for pedestrians walking in the well-kept public spaces outside the neighbourhood. In the block's configuration, the constructive order is translated into a typological organisation and finally into the compositional system of the façades. In this way, the building becomes an experiment in serial cons truction with nods to industrialisation, as can be seen in the details of the railings made from Eternit panels. While the rear façade is resolved in a more conventional way to reduce the relationship with the train tracks, the main façade becomes an extraordinary example of abstract language adap ted to the formalisation of housing linked to the exterior. A large construc tive matrix is created in the enclosure plane by equalising the thicknesses of the party walls between dwellings and the edges of the forging. This grid creates a grid of terraces, identical in size to the fronts of the dwellings, maximising lighting by stacking units. This system of isotropic repetition is cleverly altered employing a hackneyed resource: the staggered arran gement of partial filters of the terraces using vertical slats. The effect pro duced by this variation in the arrangement between the different dwellings in height and relation to the building makes it possible to develop a purely modern design proposal.
